This rustic lakeside home designed by Brink Custom Homes is located in the mountains, fronting Burnt Cedar Beach, in Incline Village, Nevada. The home’s design style reflects rustic elements of stone, iron and reclaimed wood, melded together to create this cozy mountain retreat.
The exterior facade consists of cedar board and batten siding with open beams and shake siding. This sprawling mountain dwelling is spread out over two levels, with a below grade level garage. Beautiful stone steps leads guests up to a striking wooden door and covered portico. A grand entry awaits, with staircases on either side, flagstone flooring and walls of stone.
A stone pathway from the back of the property meanders down to a sunken fire-pit. Adding to the naturalness of the setting, the architects designed a rock bench for family and guests to relax and soak in the views of Lake Tahoe. This spot is extra cozy on crisp mountain evenings… not to mention providing a fantastic ambiance!
What We Love: This rustic lakeside home offers its owners a peaceful setting to relax and enjoy some fresh mountain air. The setting is stunning, as is the architecture, both indoors and out. The rustic mix of stone and wood adds warmth and comfort, while the views through the windows adds to the overall aesthetic. A truly beautiful place to call home… don’t you think?

Above: A granite rock was used to create a ribbon fire-strip on the paver patio. It was hollowed out lengthwise to help create this custom effect. Natural gardens seem to grow wild on the hillside, adding to the tranquility of the setting.
